About Immanuel Baptist Church

Doctrinal Statement

We take a biblicist position on doctrine, practice and the issues of the day.

We believe that the Bible is the fully inspired Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16)

We believe that salvation is found only in repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ (Acts 20:21)

We believe in the personal return of the Lord Jesus prior to the Tribulation, to rapture the saints and take them to glory (1 Thessalonians 4:16-18)

Our music is traditional and conservative, with the goal of leading to worship (Colossians 3:16).

Our goal of ministry is to please Him who has chosen us to be a soldier (2 Timothy 2:4)

History

Immanuel Baptist Church celebrated its 110th anniversary Nov 16, 2018. Formed in 1908, the church has been a lighthouse ever since. Several pastors, missionaries, and other Christian workers have gone out from our church over the years. It is difficult to go anywhere in fundamental Baptist circles and not find someone who has a connection to Westbrook. Truly, as the saying goes, “all roads lead to Westbrook.”
